Drunkin Brussel Sprouts

Brussels sprouts are rich in many valuable nutrients. They are an excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin K. They are a very good source of numerous nutrients including folate, manganese, vitamin B6, dietary fiber, choline, copper, vitamin B1, potassium, phosphorus, and omega-3 fatty acids. Brussel Sprouts areĀ one of the cruciferous vegetables you should eat on a regular basis if you want to receive the fantastic health benefits provided by the cruciferous vegetable family. At a minimum, include cruciferous vegetables as part of your diet 2-3 times per week. INGREDIENTS: 1. 2 lbs of Brussel Sprouts (for 4 people) 2. 2 Tbsp butter 3. 1/4 Cup Cognac (or Brandy) 4. 1/4 Cup water 5. Sea Salt & Pepper (to taste) Directions: Wash & Cut brussel sprouts in 1/2, removing stems and discolored leaves. In a saute pan melt butter on low heat, add 1/4 cup water and place brussel sprouts cut side down in pan. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until water is evaporated. Remove lid and continue to cook until cut sides are brown and crispy Add Cognac by pouring it on top of Brussel Sprouts and continue to cook until liquid evaporates.
